The Stylist Magazine's Etsy Christmas Gift Guide

Very excited to see my work featured in the Stylist Magazine's Etsy Christmas Gift Guide, alongside some of my Etsy heroes such as Rob Ryan, Jess Quinn, Helen Rawlinson and Jane Foster (you can find me in the Homewares and Christmas Decorations sections).

There is 10% off purchases from all the shops featured with the coupon code STYLIST10.

Being out in the sticks, I'm unable to get a copy of the supplement that came with yesterday's issue of upmarket women's weekly The Stylist (it's distributed free in major cities), so if anyone has a spare they'd like to send my way, I'd be very grateful!

Two Wrens and a Bluetit

Always nice to get the opportunity to paint some of my favourite British birds.  The two wrens will form the centrepieces for a pair of stained glass door panels in London, the bluetit is destined for a leaded fan light in Essex.

I'm taking part in Little Green Shed's Christmas Giveaway Bonanza.  Lou's blog is one of my regular reads - always interesting, inspiring and uplifting.

Go and have a look!

Sunday / Coupon Codes

Today we walked up a big hill and enjoyed looking down on our tiny town.

Isla took a small knitted oddity (turnip? potato?), purchased from some lovely knitting ladies on the market yesterday with us.  He seemed to enjoy himself.

We ended up (after getting a bit lost for a while in a soggy field) at a Real Tennis court.  Watched a bit of a match, it's a pretty strange game.  Seemed to involve hitting the ball off a sloping roof a lot of the time.  And they had some pretty windows in the building - I love the hydrangeas and the rabbit roundel.

I have some coupon codes to use in my Etsy shop soon - over the Cyber Friday/Black Monday weekend (23rd - 26th November) you can get 10% off everything in my shop with the code CYBER2.

There's also another one coming up as a tie-in with a mention in the Etsy/Stylist Magazine feature, but I'm not quite sure of the details of that yet - I'll keep you posted.

Ellsworth Kelly

Ellsworth Kelly is one of those names that floats around my head when I'm doing repetitive tasks, or running, or falling asleep at night.  Such a lovely rhythmic sound to it.  His work is equally insistent.  Shape, colour and form vie for attention on the canvas, creating images that are the visual equivalent of a poke in the eye.

"I'm not interested in edges.  I'm interested in the mass and color, the black and white.  The edges happen because the forms get as quiet as they can be.  I want the masses to perform.  When I work with forms and colors, I get the edge..."  (Ellsworth Kelly).

Homemaker Magazine

A nice little mention for my blog in the first issue of new craft/homes magazine Homemaker.  Some great articles and d.i.y. projects in this publication, including a lovely interview with superstar retro-scandi-lady Jane Foster.

Lots of behind the scenes commissions and projects on the go at the moment, hence little available blogging time, however I did manage to get a quick snap of this commissioned Love Birds piece before I posted it off to the USA today.

Contemporary Stained Glass Angels

New in to my shops this Christmas - these cherubic little angels to bring the message of Peace, Love & Joy to your house.  Available individually or in sets of three.

Hand-painted using kiln-fired paints on pretty pastel coloured glass with little air-bubbles and striations. The glass used for the white angel has a lovely star pattern embossed on it (just visible in the last photo).

Each face is different, no two will be the same.
