Of all the summer weeds, these are my favourite. Hoary Plantain. Great name, and I just love the 1950s "atomic" aesthetic of them.
Just taken on two (two!) commissions - the first for
The Bull Hotel for one of the new rooms they are renovating which is to be in a contemporary Indian design. The second is for some more windows for
this place. Going to be keeping me a bit busy for the next few weeks, so I'm afraid blog posts may be fairly thin on the ground. See you on the other side!
My garden is full of that stuff - can't you call it something that sounds more deliberate than 'weeds'? Looking forwards to seeing the results of your two new commissions!
ReplyDeleteI'd like some in my garden, it would make a pleasant change from the dandelions taking over!
ReplyDeleteThe postman just arrived with my beautifully packaged giveaway prize Eugene, and he's totally fab, he's propped up on my windowsill while I decide where to hang him and I'll pop a photo up on my blog soon....thanks again Flora:)

Good luck with the commissions. Love that plant. I didn't know it was called Hoary Plaintain though.
ReplyDeleteWeeds are so pretty! My back yard is jam packed with these lovely purple weeds. I adore them.

Those 'flowers' are beautiful and they go very nicely against your blog background. Wow! about your commissions! That's fantastic. I look forward to reading all about it when you get back. L x
