Old Photos




Well, not that old - I found my analogue point-and-shoot the other day, with a film still in it.

It's very exciting to send a film off when you have NO IDEA what is on it.  Turns out it was some funny photos of the girls at Bicton Gardens from about 3 years ago.

Nelly was clearly going through some kind of grumpy Alice in Wonderland phase - all the more apt when we discovered the very ramshackle miniature village there.  As you may know, I love a crap visitor attraction.

Isla was wearing a dress that she insisted on wearing nearly every day mainly, I think, because it looked a bit like Maisy Mouse's.

    I'm also loving the grumpy Alice look - god, I wish my Mum would have indulged in my dressing up wants, I'd have LOVED that outfit as a kid. Great photos. Bethx (thelinencat)

      She went through a real "puffed sleeves and aprons" phase - she called it The Bonny Girl look. I've always admired her sense of style!

    These are brilliant - grumpy alice, tiny houses, grainy film - it looks like it was commissioned by vogue or something! (In which case, the alice dress would cost £900, and the caption would definitely not read 'crocs: model's own !!)

    Aw Flo, do love your beautiful girls. Nelly looks like she's got a proper strop on! And Isla would be at a similar age to Kitty now, full of toddler defiance at the world. So hard to deal with day to day, but so very sweet when you look back at moments like these. Love the composition in the last photo. What a perfect Alice in wonderland shoot - Nell is just the ticket for it. Love Suzanna xx

      Yes, you've hit the nail on the head - although Isla is still full, if not fuller, of toddler defiance, aged nearly 6!
