Patricia Ellen Ricci

Motivational posters might be a bit passé these days, but these are too good to write off.  Illustrated by Patricia Ellen Ricci in the 1970s, I love the punchy colours, hand lettering and simple shapes.  They are/were available (unsurprisingly most of them have sold now) from Etsy seller Vintage Goodness

  4. They're gorgeously graphic and spiritually uplifting. I think they might need to be juxtaposed with something gritty - just in case anyone thinks I've found religion. x

    1. Yes there is something a little bit Sunday School about them isn't there? Perhaps I shall start a new design movement - Sunday School chic. It will involve hassocks and clapping.

    1. No you're spot on - the flower one in particular is asking for a bit of snark at the bottom.
