First to fly the nest...

...is this happy happy red, orange and yellow bird. I'll be listing more on Folksy over the next few days, but in the meantime here are a couple more...

(well now, that's odd, the red has come out very blurry hasn't it...it's not like that in the pictures at all)

Next, I just have to show you something that I have completely fallen in love with. I bought a vast consignment of knitted food from this lovely seller on Ebay as part of Isla's birthday present (we did the whole wooden-play-kitchen thing). Every item is beautifully made, but none more so than this perfectly simple and simply perfect apple. Too good for the kids to play with, it's going on display.

Oh, and lastly, I gotta show you my cakes. The first one was Nelly's from the beginning of the year when she turned 5. Turned out pretty well, so I did it all over again but with Maisy instead of Hello Kitty for Isla.

Mmmm, cream cheese frosting....

  2. Hi Flora

Lucky girls and party guests. That cake looks scrummy. It is making my mouth water. I love that apple too. Quite perfect. As are your beautiful stained glass birds. Such beautiful colours and they look really good together. I enjoyed the shots of your home too. Lots of nice artwork from the girls I suspect.

  3. Yes, the cake went down rather well with the guests...but I just about managed to save a slice for myself too.

Cathy you're right - we do seem to have quite a few Nelly originals adorning the walls...
